Walk for Peace Event

OUR BLESSING, HONORING, AND CELEBRATION
On October 28th, 1999, the land, the shrines, and the temple site of Lawai International Center was officially blessed by a 3rd generation Shingon Buddhist Priest: Reverend Dean Okimura, who flew in from O'ahu. (The priest revealed that his grandfather was a Shingon Buddhist priest on Kauai and knew Mrs. Nonaka.) Over 50 people attended this special ceremony.

After the blessing ceremony a lovely feast and fellowship followed.

This most auspicious day was a very moving and precious experience for those involved.
